Clover Valley Golf Club
About
Surrounded by dense woodlands, Clover Valley Golf Club has a secluded parkland setting that also allows for some links-style holes. The course is relatively young but it has a much older feel to it. The versatile layout has an interesting mix of holes that appeals to a variety of different tastes and abilities. There are also four sets of tees that make it even more accommodating to a range of skill levels. The layout features gently rolling fairways that are lined with trees. They are rather generously sized though, which makes them more player-friendly. The medium-sized greens are also approachable with only slight undulations. There are several lakes as well as a creek that come into play on several holes. In addition to the golf course, Clover Valley also offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range with target greens, a large putting green, and a chipping area with greenside bunkers.

Good course
Good course it has a great layout and the greens were in good shape. Bunkers need some work still.
Amazing course!
Only bad thing, you have to carry your clubs to the cart. No carts allowed in the parking lot is a bummer cause my bag is heavy... lol other then that course was amazing!
Not a bad course, but would rate higher if the price matched the quality. Fairways and greens in good shape. Some bunkers I assume are being removed, but there was no information. Nearby courses have similar quality and perhaps more challenge for much less $
Not worth it anymore
Came to play on a holiday weekend with a 4:20 tee time, got rained out on number 9. Tried to get a rain check for the back nine and guy (not the friendliest guy, odd vibe to the fella) in the clubhouse won’t honor a rain check because it “was technically twilight hours” as if we weren’t going to be able finish the back nine on an empty course if there wasn’t rain. For a course that clearly struggles to get any play (pretty much any tee time you want is available), you’d think they would treat their returning customers a little better. Disappointed again after not having a good recent experience so will be alright with going to a better course next time.
No sand
Greens are nice but nobody fixes divots. Bunkers are a joke. Don’t even try to hit out of them. You’ll hit solid dirt and scold your ball over the green
off standish crew
cant take carts to parking lot. handicap parking too far from where carts are loaded. when unloading had to drive cart to other side of cart barn. away from loading zone. Course was nice greens perfect just inconvenient.
Solid round
Overall the course was in good shape. The bunkers could use some work as they were filled with water. Great pace of play.
Best greens in Central Ohio
Clover has always been one of my favorite courses due to the layout and challenge it can offer. It has been neglected for many years and wow is it improving month to month ! The greens were really quick and the ball roll was so true. I’ve noticed a few bunkers have been removed and a few bunkers have been renovated. Keep the great work up and this place will be amazing with some money put back into it ! Will definitely be back to play and would recommend this course to everyone.
Conditions Improving
This course has improved quite a bit over the past year. Bunkers are still in rough shape (saw a couple with fresh sand) and some tee boxes need a little TLC. I know we had the twilight rate but played the last 7 or so holes trying to avoid the water sprinklers.
Starter very rude
Showed up before my tee time and the starter was still very rude as my partner and I got partner was paired up with another 2 sum, which was fine. The issue is that the starter was trying to rush me and partner to play because there was 2 other 4 sum’s behind us (keep in mind my tee time was 5:33pm). Overall he was telling us we had to skip hole 1 and play the other 8 to help out the other 4 sums which really just irrritated me. The starter then proceeded to say he wasn’t trying to be rude, but still had an attitude and rude tone which I didn’t appreciate. Didn’t get any refund for hole 1 we didn’t even get to play. Will not be coming back. I pay my money just like everyone else.
Nice Course but has some issues currently
I have played here a handful of times over the years and I love the layout out in the country. I live down the road now so it’s very convenient to play here. The price from golf now was ok ($43) for a mid morning weekday round. However, all of the sand traps were basically piles of dirt that were being dug out or worked on (not good sand). It’s just brings down the asthetic look of an otherwise beautiful course. I am not sure if they are in the process of fixing them post Covid or not but it’s 2023 now so it’s time to invest some money to make them nice again. My other complaint is no ball washers on any of the holes and carts don’t have GPS. Staff was friendly and pace of play was great.
