Crystal Springs Golf Club
About
Crystal Springs Golf Club tumbles across the rolling hills of western Muskingum County. The undulating terrain provides gently sloped greens and elevated tees from which there are scenic views of the surrounding countryside. The golf course has a links-style layout that will appeal to a variety of different skill levels. The ample greens vary in shape and the player-friendly fairways have generous landing areas. There are six ponds that come into play on half of the holes as well as nearly 40 strategically placed sand bunkers throughout. The course's signature hole is the par-4 ninth hole. This tricky hole features water along the right side of the fairway and green and out-of-bounds stakes along the left, as well as a large sand bunker lurking treacherously behind the green.

challenging course that makes you think
Great course always in great shape and challenging from beginner to low handicap
Nice layout
Greens were in pretty good shape. Somewhat speedy and balls stayed on the line. Nice layout
Nothing to write home about
Got a pretty good deal on the Springs and thought I would try it out. Not bad, but nothing I haven't seen before. Wide open course with some hills. A few interesting hole designs. Conditions were average. A little far from Columbus, probably wouldn't have to be back.
No two shots are the same
Its a very nice course with many hills and challenging obstacles. It did lack sand traps. The two it did have were very hard and the ball rolled out. Everything else was good.
My favorite course
I have always done well at Crystal springs. It's been my favorite. I was disappointed at some of the bunkers not having sand in them. It's almost like they were bunkers but didn't want to add sand. I lost a couple of balls where I should have been able to find them
Excellent layout with great views from 1 and 10.
Course was in excellent shape for all the rain we have had, there were a few muddy areas but more from people driving their carts where they should not be. This course is worth the drive from Columbus, much better layout than Bent Tree or Royal American Links and half the money!
Challenging for a first year woman golfer.
I enjoyed the course and definitely plan to golf there again. Most men would find the course to be moderately difficult; as a beginning (female) golfer, I found it a little more challenging due to all the hills and the elevated greens. Overall I did well and look forward to playing the course again.
Nice layout......well maintained
No two holes are alike. Keeps the course interesting. Fairways are in good condition. Greens are well maintained and good speed. Country setting without "city noises". Nice course.
Nice bent grass fairways and greens.
Overall very satisfied with course. Bunkers are bad, Clubhouse and food sub par, other than that very happy with course condition. Only 2 par 5's and 3 par 3's, but par 3's are man sized. Shortest is 176 up hill and protected. Longest is 228 and again up hill with ob left. Lots of elevation changes and fairly open. Wind can play a factor for sure.
This course is hilly and has it's share of challeging holes. Would recommend it to anyone?
The course has hole that you are hitting up hill and some downhill. You are challenged on each hole with different shots and don't forget there are a few holes that have water that can get you in trouble.
very much enjoyed playing the course
the course was challenging but fairways were big enough for minor mistakes. the rolling hills makes this course more interesting, and not that many water holes so you dont lose your ball. lol not to mention getting your tee time on "golf now" makes it all the more worth while.
