The Estate Club
About
The Estate Club is an 18-hole course in Lancaster. At 6, 249 yards from the back tees, the course is not particularly long but it does provide an enjoyable round for players of any skill level. The layout sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. Golfers are faced with tricky uphill and downhill shots as well as many shots that are completely blind. In addition to the varying undulations, there are water hazards that come into play on seven holes as well as a generous smattering of bunkers throughout. There are enough challenges to keep more advanced players entertained but a beginner wouldn't be out of their league. The Estate Club is in good company with both the Pleasant Valley and Valley View golf courses nearby.

Estate club value
The course is much better than last year. There are new owners trying to improve the course overall enjoyable play and not over crowded.
Hole yardage ?
The course was in fair condition. Some bare spots on tees and greens. The biggest issue is the score card had yardages as one length and the hole markers at the tee boxes had another that was anywhere from 20 to 50 yards different. Since I didn't have a range finder with me it made it difficult to judge distances from the tee.
greens
Greens need a lot of work! The yardage on card and the hole markers are not even close to each other.
Former Great Course That Needs Help
A great layout, but this course has really been let go. We used to play this course 15 yrs ago and it was well maintained, well supported and challenging. .
I was a bit shocked when we returned last week. Albeit that we had quite a bit of rain the previous week, the front nines grass was so high we were losing balls in the fairway. The rough was like you were OB. The back nine, which is higher elevation, was in pretty fair shape.. Clubhouse needs revamped. This is an aged course that facilities needs renovated and investment in restoring the course (sand, ponds, mowing etc). This could be one of the best tracks in the area again in a short time with investment and renovation.
Course needs work
This course is convenient for us and a good price, but the conditions were not good. Granted, it had rained overnight, but this was no 1 day's worth of grass growth. It's frustrating when you hit a good shot and still can't find your ball because the grass is so high.
The greens were bad
The front nine was good the back nine was some of the worst greens I have ever played on. They were bumpy and had a lot of bare spots
needs work
The course need better taken care of. The greens were not mowed u couldn't tell the fair way from the rough. One green had dirt on it. If it was kept up and sand in the traps and water hazards lil better would be a good course. Tough holes great challenge on some but conditions of up keep is the down fall.
Don't miss this one
The Estate Club is hidden away, but worth the trip. Exceptionally friendly staff; great value on food & drinks. Course is in good shape & dried quickly after morning showers. They also have a great ($25 annual) "membership" option for those of us over 50, which gets you reduced rates all year long, including weekends.
We'll be back.
Fun course
This course is fun to play. It has a little bit of every thing, some narrow fairways, some water, some trees, elevation changes. It might be a little tough for beginners
The Estate Club in top form again
This is quietly becoming one of Fairfield counties finest golf courses. The Estate Clubs interesting track challenges every one I play with.A super friendly staff enhances your experience, take time to give this hidden gem a look.I Think you'll be glad you did.
Making great improvements!
The Estate Club's greens were unplayable in 2012. The greens have been brought back to life and are playable, and should be even better in 2014. The fairways have been aerated and new irrigation lines have been installed. Overall, this course has come a long way in the year of new ownership, Give it a try--still a little rough, and there is no sand, but if we support this course, it should get better and better.
One of my favorites, Wonderful course
The estate club is a great old golf course.A thinking players course to be sure. From tee to green every hole offers something unique. Tight fairways on a few of the par threes and par fours.Big juicey greens to go for on almost every hole.If you have not played this before or in along time give it a look.
Fairway was horrible and lost to many balls in the fairway because not maintained.
Will never play at this course again. Was very poorly maintained and the fairways were not cut was all around not a good course.
Course In Bad Shape
This course is under new management but needs some serious work. Also, you must follow the course map or you will get lost. Tee Boxes, fairways and greens are beat up. overall bad experience.
Great round of golf at a serene course
Facilities are well maintained, friendly staff and not crowded. Very easy to locate. Did not need the GPS. Great round and great value for the rate.
This course has several elevated tees and greens.
Enjoyed seeing good fairways and greens. The course is well maintained.
This course needs attention IMMEDIATELY
This course was in poor condition when I played it last year, and it's in even worse condition this year. Every green had serious dead grass issues. The greens were not maintained at all. The fairways were also covered with multiple dead grass areas and exposed dirt areas as well. This course has been in poor condition for years, the fact they haven't fixed it is ridiculous. It's not worth the fee they charge, it needs attention NOW.
This course condition is not good.
Fairway and green have a long turf, and the condition is not good
