About
Although Homestead Springs Golf Course is just a few minutes southeast of Columbus, the surrounding countryside provides an idyllic atmosphere. It has a convenient location that is easily accessible from Central Ohio. The course is mostly flat, which makes it easy to walk, but there is some strategic mounding that can cause tricky uneven lies. Overall though, the golf course is not meant to pose an impossible challenge. It has an approachable, player-friendly layout that was designed for all skill levels to enjoy, but there are still a variety of challenges that will keep you on your feet. The course boasts excellent green conditions with putting surfaces that roll fast and true. The greens vary in size from small to medium. Water hazards come into play as well as a few strategically placed bunkers.

Very scenic
Greens and fairways were the best I've played this year.
Greens are nice!!
Pretty nice course. We played it the other day for the first time. you would be hard pressed to find a ball mark on the greens and they were immaculate for August. Worth the 25 minute drive for me.

Good value
The course is in excellent shape considering the amount of rain they had earlier this year. The staff is friendly and helpful. Well worth the money.

I played here on a rainy day, but the course drained really well and I had a lot of fun. Nice course, moderate difficulty, cannot beat the price. I will be back in the future.

Hidden Gem?
A friend of mine played here once with me and called it a hidden gem. I agree because it is usually easy to get tee times and for the money it is a great course. I'm a high handicapper (+or - 100 usually) in my 60's, I don't benefit paying 3 times as much for a more prestigous course, Every time I play here I'm treated well and enjoy a very playable well maintained course. Great for me and I definitely recommend.

great putting greens
Great greens! Fairways were average. Coarse was a little hard to follow from front nine to back nine . Make sure you have that figured out if you haven't played there befor.

Homestead Springs
Course is in great shape. Plays long. Wish that the course had a practice range to get a few cuts in before my tee time. Didn't see the cart girl at all through all 18 holes.

Great Course, Great Value
I was looking for somewhere new to play on Sunday mid-day when I came across Homestead Springs on Golf Now. The reviews were very good and it was a reasonable drive so I decided to book a Hot Deal. I'm glad I did.
The clubhouse staff was very friendly and took some time to tell me about the course since I never played it before. The carts are all in great condition and were neatly organized outside. Overall I could tell that the facility is very well taken care of.
The fairways and greens are in excellent condition, especially given the recent rains. The only reason I didn't give a 5-star rating for conditions is I felt the greens were a bit slow and didn't roll true in a few cases. That said, keeping them a bit longer is probably what has kept them in very good condition so it's a pick your poison kind of thing for public courses. Still, they were above average. I would recommend landing a bit short though as the ball wanted to advance about 10 feet after landing.
The front nine is relatively short and scorable from the blues. I went out in 37 and was starting to think I had a low round in me. Well, a bogey on 10 and a double on the monsterous 11th did that in. The back is much longer than the front and if you don't get off of the tee well you'll be happy to save bogey. I'm a bit longer than average off of the tee and I still played the par 5s at +3 on the back. I wore down a bit down the stretch and came in at 42 for a 79 total.
Definitely a fun place to play and I want to take on that back nine again this summer. It really challenges your game and it also presents a mental challenge given the constant attention to detail you have to pay in order to have success. This is a truly top-notch course in a great country setting for a reasonable price. It is well worth the short drive from Columbus and surrounding areas.

Awesome as usual
Had just rained the night before and the course was in great shape. We were able to drive the carts everywhere with no issues. There were quite a few singles. We let them play thru (there were 4 of us). Course is in great shape. Greens were nice. Always a great time for the money. We can never go a season without playing here a couple times a year.

Homestead Springs
The course is fair, but can be tough for a new player. The front side is a heck of a lot shorter than the back, but it is also narrower. Playing from the white tees, the back is maybe too long (3300 + yards).

Slow
Twosome in front of us playing from blue tees like they were pros. Couldn't hit the ball. Think one was teaching the other. Had to stop and discuss everything they did. I don't mind if someone's not good but keep it moving. No rangers out on course to move them along.

Not a bad course for beginnersa
If you're looking for scenic beauty or a challenging layout this is not the course for you. What you see here is what you get - flat lies, straight holes, etc. However, the greens and fairways were in great shape and worth coming back for.
