About
Founded in 1909, Lancaster Country Club is one of Ohio's oldest golf courses. The layout is the result of a collaborative effort involving Donald Ross and Jack Kidwell. The course was originally only nine holes that were designed by members of the club. They were then redesigned by Donald Ross in 1926. In 1959, Kidwell, a ubiquitous name in Ohio, added another nine holes. The golf course sprawls across rolling terrain that provides interesting elevation changes throughout. Mature trees are liberally scattered along the fairways. Golfers will often be faced with a blind shot on this tricky course. It requires careful strategy and a fair amount of skill. Water hazards come into play on seven holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers along the greensides and fairways.

Just a great old Donald Ross course about sums everything up. My son and I will definitely be back to play it again.
Try it, you'll like it.
This course is always in great shape. The greens had been spiked but that is to be expected this time of year. Other times I have played this course the greens have always been smooth and fast.
