Located just minutes from downtown Columbus, the Links at Groveport is one of the area's more mature golf courses. The front nine was built in 1929, but the back nine wasn't added until 1971. It was once a private country club but it is now open to the public. The layout is player friendly enough for beginners with a fair amount of challenges thrown in to keep the course interesting. The small, fast greens are the golf course's trademark. There is a creek that runs through the entire layout as well as several ponds that come into play. The heavily wooded course has trees strategically positioned along the fairways. In addition to the course, the Links at Groveport boasts a large driving green, an expansive practice tee, a putting green, and a chipping green with a bunker.

Big improvement in last few years

You may find a lot of poor reviews for this course especially 2017-2020. Today the greens are excellent, the fairways are excellent, the staff is helpful, the drinks and food down right cheap. On our day pace of play was fine. There is a driving range, chipping green and practice green. Mature trees, a good mix of holes, and weekday fees are very reasonable. Try the course and see for yourself.

I like this course. The resturant is pretty good. 18 finishes over the creek at the club house.

Average Course, Below Average Staff

Course is sub par, Typical Muni track with basic straight away holes the whole time. Basic course. Not worth $50/18.
Clubhouse worker is on a power trip and hates his job.
Poor atmosphere for a nice time.
Would advise finding a different course around Columbus with more unique holes for the price.
Not worth the price.

Crammed tee times like a college exam

We get to the tee box about 6-7 minutes early. The starter stated “it’s very busy so make sure you keep pace” that’s all fine and dandy except for the fact that got to the second hole and it was already backed up, how does this happen? No rangers were out during my round what so ever, how do you let people suffer playing long rounds and slow play yet give them the riot act when they arrive first thing. This course in extremely expensive for the crab grass and thatchy fairways I encountered. It’s been 5 years since my last round and it may have to be longer before I play here again. They cater to town folk and locals. Careful with that, me and my friend we’re both from somewhere other than Groveport.

Poor Customer service

We were set to play 18 holes on a course that was in incredible shape last year. Last year we found this course for the first time to be absolutely amazing and were looking forward to coming back. We booked the round over the phone 2 days prior to playing, When booked there was no mention that the back 9 would be closed and that 3 other holes had about 10 blades of grass in the fairways. The worst course conditions I have ever seen. The worst part was that there is no way this just happened over night and they didn't know that the back 9 would be closed. Such poor service by not telling us the course conditions as it didn't resemble a golf course for even the majority of the front 9 which we had to play twice. Nothing was done for us when we arrived shocked to hear we could only play the front 9. Just a sorry and that we should have been told when we booked. Having to come 25-40 minutes to play this was highly disappointing. DO NOT GO PLAY ANYTIME SOON!
