Play here while you still can!
First time playing this course, & unfortunately the last. I would love to play this course again, but they're closing. One of the nicest courses I've played. Greens are fast and well kept. Fairways were very nice as well! I hate to see this place go. I'd be willing to take another day of vacation so I could play here again before they close.
Great course, too bad it's closing.
Riviera is closing at the end of this season. If you get a chance go play it while it is still open.
Too bad they're closing this course
I used to be a member here. Course closes shortly as they're going to build homes on the land. You wouldn't know they're closing as course is in great shape! Anyone wanting a C/C atmosphere at a great price should play here before they close -
Course in great shape!
Played a round starting after 5pm, asked to play the front 9 only as there was Golf League on the back 9. This course is in great shape, nice fairways that reward landing on them. The greens were really quick which I enjoy. It didn't take long to figure out best approach shots would land just short of the green and roll onto them. The bunkers that I landed in were in good shape. I will definitely make a point to play this course again before the season wraps up!
Great course
sand, water, good length, nice, fairly fast greens. Great course
So much potential
My buddy and I booked a tee time through golfnow for 540. I arrived to check us in at 5 and was informed of an outing on the back 9 so we would be playing the front none twice. Meh not that big of a deal. Ask for our cart and they had none charged and ready to go but would have one shortly. 535 rolls around and still no cart. Tee box for the 1st was empty when I got there at 5 and no one had teed off since. Finally at 550 we get a cart and are informed we would be paired up. Normally not a big deal if it's crowded but like I just said it was not crowded at all. End up splitting the group up after the first hole. After our tee shots on the fourth our cart completely dies in the cart path. We finish 4&5 walking and they run another cart out to us on the 6th. Overall a crummy customer service experience but the course was nice minus the unraked bunkers.
1 Hour of Hard Rain....no rain check
It was our first time as a foursome golfing here and unfortunately we had a substantial downpour for an hour as we finished hole #1. After waiting through the storm for an hour the bunkers and fairways were simply unplayable, which is understandable as hard as it rained. We went back to the clubhouse to ask for a rain check so we can come back at some other time that it is playable and to experience the course in better conditions. We were told that we cannot have a rain check that the course will drain well and they cannot issue one unless the course closes. We were pretty unhappy as we were not asking for our money back, just a pass to come back and play when the course is playable. We were forced to play all 18 holes moving our balls out of puddles and every bunker was still unplayable. After hitting off of a few of the tee boxes we were soaked from the puddles splashing up in our face. Parts of the course did drain well however others such as the tee boxes did not. Overall, it is a very nice course we just happened to be there during poor weather and was unhappy with how we were treated.
Nice course
Greens were dry as dry can be. Wouldn't hold a shot. Bunkers were hard as cement. Otherwise a beautiful course. Too bad it is on the choping block.
Sad to see it go
This was a beautiful course that I know I will be sad to see it go. I know it was private but I am pleased that it opened up to the public. Fast greens that held EVERY approach shot. Greens roll VERY true and I could not complain about anything on the course. Easily best value for the course. Hopefully playing again before they close.
always a test in putting
great experence in playing this course. always stay below the hole as the greens are always fast
Challenging fast greens, bring your A putting game
Enjoyed the day. Too bad the course is closing.
Greens are challenging, strategically places bunkers, some blind water hazards, make sure you ask where before you tee off.
Friendly golfers and staff.....enjoy a fun day of golf
Great Greens
Course has nice fairways, fast true greens and mature trees. Sad to see it go...
Great Course
This may be the best value on the golf now
schedule. This is formerly a country club
and it still seems like one for the care and
condition! Greens fast and true and great!
bring a complete game! you'll need it!
visually perfect. green fairways, roughs, and greens. You have to have every shot in your arsenal to score well here. truly a test of golf and not just a knock it long and chip up course. Only issues were firm greens and no starter/marshall. I threw a ton of shots at the flag using a variety of wedges, just to watch them all hit short and run past the cup. I really didn't get the ball to spin or even check but 2 times. My only negative was we were playing freely with no one in front and we finished 9 and then came up on a foresome on 10. Either they went in to eat and happened to just pop out or started on 10. The back 9 took us over 3.5 hrs to finish. You HAVE to know how to putt, don't be above the hole. If it looks to break 13 inches.. it will!
I would definitely recommend this course. It's definitely a 49.00 weekend value.
Nice course!
Course is in great shape. Challenging but fair. Definitely worth checking out!
Too bad this course is closing!!
Really good shape. Greens were fast and receptive.
Fairways rolled out. In two traps and they were a delight to hit out of. Hope to get there again soon.
Great course
Greens, fairways and tee boxes are in excellent condition. Greens are fast. Great course.

Excellent condition and friendly staff. Look forward to playing again. Long and challenging but fair. Requires distance off the tee
Very Enjoyable Course
I played from the gold (senior) tees and found the course to be very enjoyable. It's a fair test and not as punitive as my home course. The condition was very good, especially considering that it will probably be its last year of operation. I'm glad I played it and will try to get back again. Local knowledge can be very helpful as a couple of water hazards are not well marked.
So sad to see it go.
This was a very good private course for a number of years, but now in its last year of existence, it is open to the public. I hope to get back and experience the golf course before it closes for good.
The clubhouse and an old halfway house are not being maintained since there will not be a next year; so I understand them not putting any additional money into the facilities, but it is a shame since it had a rich history.
The course is in very good shape and is being maintained very well.
The staff were very welcoming to first timers and very accommodating. The food at the turn was freshly grilled which was a welcome treat.
