Located a mile from Kenyon College, Tomahawk Golf Course sits off the beaten path amongst the rolling hills of Amish country. It is also just minutes from Mount Vernon. This executive-length layout offers different challenges on the front and back nines. The golf course begins on relatively flat terrain that is easy to walk but as it progresses towards the back nine, the landscape gets hillier and presents more of a challenge to the scratch golfer. The first nine holes are par 3s while the back nine has more par 4s. There are ponds that come into play on four holes on the back nine. Overall, the course is player friendly with a fair amount of challenges thrown in. Tomahawk G.C. is popular among locals for its casual and welcoming atmosphere and beautiful setting amongst hilly woodlands.
