Despite being relatively young, Village View Golf Course has nonetheless garnered a reputation amongst locals who consider it to be one of Ohio's must-play courses. It is known for its challenging variety of holes and excellent conditions. The greens are firm and fast. The layout sprawls over gently rolling hills sprinkled with trees, which are concentrated along the narrow fairways. The small, undulating greens demand accuracy. There is no sand on the golf course, instead the challenges come from the numerous water hazards, which come into play on twelve holes. There is a creek that winds through the entire layout, posing a threat along the fairways. Village View Golf Course's notorious fifth hole is the most difficult, it is known for its treacherous island green. The hole was even rated in the top 10 for Ohio's most difficult holes by a local newspaper.
