Willow Run Golf Course
About
Willow Run Golf Course was designed by a ubiquitous name in central Ohio, Jack Kidwell. The local designer played a role in creating many of the state's courses but he infused a different character into each. Willow Run has an interesting layout that will test your shot making skills as well as your course management capabilities. The greens are bentgrass and the fairways are accented with Ohio bluegrass. Correct placement off the tees is the key to doing well, especially on the front nine. Plenty of water comes into play throughout the golf course as well as several strategically placed bunkers. Willow Run's back nine boasts one of the most challenging par 4s in Ohio, the 13th. The green on this tricky hole is fronted by a meandering creek.

Nice Round!!
The course was in good shape considering the heavy rain the day before. There were a couple soft spots on fairways but that's understandable. The greens were in good shape. Pace of play was a bit slow, had a person 'learning to play' in the group ahead of us so the front 9 was a bit slow. Pace picked up on back 9 though. The clubhouse offered us 2 drink chips for the inconvenience!! We stayed after the round to have lunch and show our appreciation.
Worst Staff
It’s one thing to run a golf course but another thing just to be a good person. I have never seen such a disrespectful staff all because they did not get to leave before 8:30. If you have a tee time after 5 don’t even bother. This is the first establishment I have been cussed at right from the start including the f word and other vulgar language with no justification other then the staff did not want to be there. They claim to tell you that the carts need to be in at a certain time but don’t tell you until the last hole and instead of being considerate and a normal human they decide to scream the f word at you from across the club house. This is the most disrespectful thing I have ever seen on a golf course with no justification. Hopefully management can take care of this or I and I hope you all will never be back.
Excellent Layout
I really enjoyed the Layout, I think its the courses strongest attribute. Some challenging holes and some easier. VERY wet course as if there may be a natural spring near.
Pro Shop is well stocked and Clubhouse is clean and nice.
Don’t waste your time or money.
The course is a swamp and the cart path was non existent. Just pay the extra 10-20 dollars and go to a course someone actually cares about I guess you get what you pay for.
Super Wet and Cart Paths Trashed
Played here many times. It was super wet and muddy and the cart paths are pretty beat up. Overall course was nice other than those two things.
Solid course for the price. Carts are old and nothing has been done to the club house in a couple decades but they keep up with course maintenance well. Layout can be challenging with some rolling hills and mature trees. It’s one of my go-to’s for a quick round, just be careful if it rains recently, it’s somewhat lowland and can stay soggy
Take Pride In Yourselves
I’m not by any means an expert, I worked at a private club for many years. When your cart paths have potholes the size and scale of the roads in Ohio, you need to think about the safety of your guests. Your tee boxes were burnt out and you had standing water in almost every fairway and bunker which only tells me your drainage system is absolutely shot. You should give serious consideration to closing down for the rest of the season and make your course presentable again. Golf is a beautiful sport to be enjoyed by many. Luckily, I had phenomenal company with me, my cousin who is on the Tour. We will not be back as we did not enjoy the course in it’s entirety. Many other courses that are better kept will have our business.
Great value
Course was a bit soft from the rain. Overall great value. Pace was perfect and the greens played true. Many scoring opportunities, but the cart path needs work for sure.
Great Course
Course was fun to play and greens were well maintained. With all the rain low areas had sitting water and the cart path needs some love. Other than that it’s a fun course
First and Last
Never heard course let the League start 30 min late then scheduled time therefore make everyone was on the course effect by this.
