Oakhurst Country Club was designed by Ohio native Jack Kidwell, who took great care to preserve the beautiful natural terrain while still providing a premier championship course. Kidwell deftly utilized the rolling landscape covered with mature trees to create one of central Ohio's most challenging private golf courses. The layout features narrow fairways and small, sloped greens that demand both accuracy and careful strategy. There is also an abundance of water throughout the course that adds to both its challenging nature and scenic quality. The design has an interesting variety of holes with several holes that long hitters will enjoy and others that will test your short game skills. Although it offers a formidable test, Oakhurst Country Club is still approachable to all skill levels thanks to four sets of tees.

Beautiful old style
Mature trees, lush tee boxes, fast greens were highlights. Pace is play is good, staff is friendly.
Awesome Green with minor issue with tees
Course was in very good shape overall. Greens were in pristine condition with very little trace of past aeration. It was fast and true. Fairways were in good condition and recovering well from aeration. Only issue that I saw was that some of the tee boxes are in need of re-sodding. We were the first people to play that morning at 8:30AM so our pace of play was 3 hrs. Will come play again if the weather stays warm.
GO PLAY OAKHURST
Great day at Oakhurst. These guys get having Golfnow players as guests and will treat you well. Fastest greens in Franklin County, I'm not kidding. The only comment I would make is that in the design of the course they are missing a set of tee boxes for we senior players. You either play the 5900 yard tees or the 6500 yard tees.....which the former makes for some short par 4's & the latter a number of long par 4's. That's okay though and doesn't detract from the round. I played the 5900 yard tees on a cool, wet day & it was great to have a driver & short iron into some of the par 4's. Overall a nice course, you will enjoy your day. The greens really are outstanding. They take cash at the bar too, unlike alot of private clubs, when you want to stick around & have a cold one after your round. Thx Oakhurst!
Great Course for the Money
We took my father to play on a early weekday. They were working hard on leaf cleanup and on the bunkers. You could see they had pride in keeping the course in shape. My father was a member in 80"s with his work buddies. He was happy to see some changes but still a quality track. We had a great time and "note to self" stay right on #4. It kept me from shooting in the 70's that day!
nice greens. sand traps in good condition. a nice country to play as a non-member.
not difficult. nice fairways. greens with good undulation.Lots of trees. Water only comes in play on 2 holes.
Nice for the price
This course had great greens and tee boxes. The fairways were rough in spots. (Probably due to drought conditions this year....at least the course kept the greens and tee boxes watered)
