The Ridge Golf & Gardens
About
The rolling countryside occupied by The Ridge Golf & Gardens (formerly known as Buck Ridge Golf Course) provides an ideal landscape for a round of golf. The nearby farmhouses add to the course's rustic appeal. The layout closely follows the natural contours of the land and trees, ponds, and landscaping were tactfully added to blend seamlessly with the natural terrain. There are a total of five ponds, which come into play on eight holes. A number of bunkers are strategically placed around the large greens and there are also rough areas to watch out for. Although the golf course is relatively young, the skillful use of the mature trees makes it seem as though it has been around much longer. The eighth hole, the layout's longest par 3, is one of the toughest. It plays directly over water to the right side of the green. Before playing The Ridge Golf & Gardens, golfers can warm up on the large practice green.

Nice Place to Play
Enjoyed a quick round on a Friday evening. by myself. Very friendly staff and quick pace of play.
This course is not too difficult
This course is not too difficult. This is good for the beginners and training some skills.
Nice course
course in overall good condition Would have like to seen greens rolled
Variety in a good way
I really like this course. It has some interesting holes and some that really challenge my game. It is fairly wide open, without knee deep ball-hiding rough. I play here as often as possible.
better courses out there.
Not as well maintained as in years past. Kind of dry and weedy.
buck ridge review
the course was very well manicured and crews were working the whole time i was there. excellent course!!!
Good value for the dollar
$12 each for cart and 18 holes? course was in decent shape and has some challenging holes. open in spots, very tight in others. big hitters might take advantage of a few holes by cutting corners but overall a fun track. staff was friendly. Our best ball format ended in a tie and we settled it in extra holes with managements blessings! they even said we could play the whole 9 again but time wasn't permitting. Thanks for a great day Buck Ridge!
confused
I am not an expert, nor do I try to play beyond my limits. So help me understand why the white tee's are always backed up to the blue tee's? People that can't play from the blues slow the pace of play. Bad move on Buck ridges part. Sorry, but you lost my business.
Bad people
The course has a nice layout. I have not been to the course and been completely happy with it either. The worst part is the people that work there have NO respect for the paying customers. The were mowing and talking right on top of us while we are trying to hit. The worst was a weed eater going 20 feet from the green the whole time we hit the approach and while we attempted to putt. It's very hard to play golf with rude inconsiderate workers.
worth your money
I found this course on a hot deal and after taxes paid $13.50. The greens were in much better shape than earlier in the year, but the sand traps are still a hot mess. I enjoy playing this course as I have played it every year since my sophomore year of high school during the high school tournaments. The facility is really making an effort to better the course and I recommend it as play for anyone.
Greens and bunkers are a wreck
I really want to like Buck Ridge. It has some fun holes and a lot of potential. However, it is not taken care of. The greens are some of the worst I've seen around. And the bunkers.... They just have huge mounds of sand sitting in them. It is well into summer; the bunkers should be done by now.
Fill in the bunkers already
Great course, you can score well but it is challenging enough to keep it interesting. Only complaint is they have left mounds of sand in the bunkers. Finish the bunkers and the course would be excellent.
Back from the brink
This course seemed to be teetering in recent years but has bounced back in a big way this year. It is great shape, especially the greens. And don't play so fast as to not pause at the top of the ridge after putting out on 17 to take in the view.
Nice and playable
Would tell my friends to try it will be going back
The course looks good
A very nice course with good service for a great value.
This course is good for beginners
This golf course is fairly wide open with few trees. Cart path rules were in place because the course was extremely wet. The greens were in good shape though. I think this course is a good value for the money.
Good hot deal
Got a hot deal for 14 bucks. Course in good shape for April. Greens and fairways were in good shape. Sand bunkers are being repaired and will be ready soon. I play here 6 times a yr and recommend it
Good value course
The place was obviously in their spring cleaning phase as all the bunkers had actual mounds of sand waiting to be spread. Greens are challenging, hard and fast. Its out in the middle of nowhere and kinda wide open, the impact of a windy day will be felt.
Overall, its hard to complain when I only paid $7 for a full round with cart. Nothing spectacular about the place, but I'll be back for the value. Cant beat the price, less than a bucket at most ranges... on course practice > than a range
