The Links at Echo Springs
About
Located in Licking County, The Links at Echo Springs sits at the third highest point in the state. The golf course winds through mature hardwood forests and sits adjacent to a winery. At least half of the holes were carefully carved from the dense forests. The course spills across gently undulating terrain, providing a links-style touch to the layout. The rolling, tree-lined fairways are narrow and the large greens are lightning fast. There are also a few double-tiered greens to watch out for. The course's challenges come mostly from the numerous bunkers that are treacherously lurking throughout. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. The layout has a fair amount of challenges but it is still gentle enough for beginners to enjoy as well.

Very Sad!!!!
Followed a foursome that would not let us play thru. By the turn we were two holes off of pace. I spoke with a staff member and he did go out and talk to the group, however nothing changed regarding their pase of play... If anything they slowed down. All in all it took my group 5 hours and 45 minutes to play 18 holes. Afterwords the same staff member responded "but the course is in good shape". In several different places around the course the trash cans were overflowing with trash and old golf outing signs laying beside the cans... Very sad!!!!
This course has a great natural layout
I Play here pretty regularly.the course is in good shape for the time of year it is
To many 5 somes
Had 2 fivesomes and 2 some mix in between. According to the ranger, they where locals. We wold the ranger they would not let a better faster playing group pass. Took over 5 hours to play. Overall course is nice but some of the members run the show and slow the paly
Horrible Pace of Play
I thought playing on a Sunday afternoon by myself that I would be able to get around fairy quickly. A group of 4 in front of me would not let me around. There are no rangers to help speed pace of play. The course itself was a haul to get to because it is off a few backroads. If the course is not going to employ someone to teach groups when to let people around then be prepared for a 6 hour day at Echo Springs.
Bad times
I played here on a Sunday and all started off good pulled up and the staff was right there to grab my bag. I thought this was a great thing however as I was going to park my car I saw the staff member start looking inside my bag. When I got to my cart I asks why he said to make sure I had not brought my own alcohol which I was fine with. On 2nd hole I decide to check my bag and some money was missing. Then the Marshall where in full force on every hole making sure we stayed on the cart path and used the 90* rule. One time we exit to the left of the red mark, so the Marshall park his cart on the green and told us if we did it again we would have to leave. To sum it up great golf corse if you don't mind the attitude from the staff
my new favorite course
This course was in excellent condition. The greens rolled true and I like the variety. You start out links style then into the woods then back in then back out. The yardage could have marked better as far as sprinkler heads and I believe since I played there last they changed the 8th hole which use to be a par 5 from an elevated tee. Now it's a short par 4 but no idea where to hit unless your familiar with course I had one guy who didn't show so I ate his cost but as good as I played it was worth it. Our foursome came to only 25.50 a player I love this app
BurgKoch Review
The course was in really good shape and pace of play was excellent for a Sunday afternoon - 1.75 hour front nine and 2.25 hour back. A fun, fair course that is usually not very busy.
Excellent layout with beautiful views.
An interesting blend of tree-lined fairways with challenging links style holes. Kept in very good condition. Especially, after 4'clock on weekends, this course is a great bargain!
Echo spring
Had a great time. Course was nice and didn't have to wait.
Worth the Drive!
Great course for the money. Greens were smooth and rolled fast. Fairways were in great shape. Tee boxes were good bunkers need work. A variety of tree lined holes, open holes and rolling hills. This course has everything. Large driving range and great food!
worth the drive
It's about an hour ride for me, but occassionally it's worth it. Course was very wet, but greens still rolled well. Every hole is different and there aren't any real tricked up holes, though the 3 foot rough in the middle of the 8th fairway is stupid. For the price it's a very solid track and worth it.
Last resort course
The bunkers were atrocious; they had rocks instead of sand. It was a challenge to find a flat spot on the tee boxes. The course does have a nice layout but that is the only plus.
Awful Experience
I booked a tee time so I could join a threesome. when I arrived it was clear the starter was annnoyed by my presence. Two threesomes teed off after I was warmed up tp play. At one point he went on the putting green and said "Can I STICK a single with one of your groups?" They had 9 for a family gathering. My first impression of the course was that my regular group would enjoy this course and none knew of it. I planned to bring 4 or 8 within a few weeks.
That has changed. I got up at 5AM, drove and hour each way, used 4 gallons of gas to be treated so shabbily. I left. The guy at the front desk smartly refunded my money and I played elsewhere and would appreciate my business. Unlike this place. Save yourself a trip and stay away from this sorry excuse for a golf course
Friendly course
Had a great round, weather was perfect!! It is worth the drive.
Nice, sceenic course
A really good course that is fun to play. As most courses I have played this year, the sand traps were in terrible condition.
Nice layout
This course has a nice layout, but the rough has been allowed to get too long where balls are lost in the first cut of rough. Also, starter would not allow us to go out despite 1st hole sitting empty for nearly 1/2 hour. He was waiting for a group that started on the back nine to make the turn.
Excellent Course
Such a nice place. Very well kept green and fairways. The rough is exactly that....rough! Only one negative, lots of clumps of cut grass off the first cut. Lost a ball in play. Staff and service were amazing, as well. Love the black tee set up.
Very scenic course
This is only the second time I've played this course. The course was in fairly good shape the greens were a little slow and hard to read . One of the things I like about this course is that no two holes are a like . It's a very scenic course and although I didn't play well the day we played the course is nice to play.
The course was nice
Not real hard. Front is harder than the back, would play it again, only I got a deal on golf now.
For a good price-- Yes
Beautiful layout and challenging holes. Greens and teeboxes could use some attention.
