Virtues Golf Club
About
Virtues Golf Club (formerly known as Longaberger Golf Club) in Nashport is Ohio's no. 1 public golf course and it's also ranked in the top 75 public golf courses in America. Situated about an hour's drive from Columbus, the Arthur Hills design tumbles across rolling hills, stretching from the ridge top down to the valley floor. Wide, undulating fairways flow seamlessly to immaculately manicured greens bordered by beautiful mature trees. The setting will make you feel as though you've been transported to southern Appalachia. You'll be greeted with stunning panoramic views everywhere you turn. Be careful though because the dramatic slopes make the golf course just as challenging as it is scenic. Multiple sets of tees keep Virtues G.C. playable for golfers of all skill levels but no matter which you choose to play from, a bevy of uneven lies await you.

great course
will go back to play again!! really enjoyed the course
Great Top Notch Course
We played Longaberger through the Nine Stars of Golf package. The course was in great shape. The large greens are quick and roll smooth and true. The course layout is unique and gives you a fresh look and challenging shot every time. Make sure that you pull yourself out of the game and take the time to admire the great scenic views that are abundantly available throughout the course.
The Staff are friendly and their priority to make you feel welcome and to ensure that your visit is the best that it can be. I have been to many course that make you feel rushed and like you’re just another golfer that they have to deal with. This is NOT one of those courses. When I lived in the area I played Longaberger a lot and have never received anything but the best service.
If you’re looking to get away for a couple of days the Nine Stars of Golf package is the answer. Both courses are outstanding and you can’t beat the cost. We stayed at the Comfort Inn and the staff and rooms are far above average.
Love this course
Windy and wet yet the course was well maintained. I was impressed that even with all the rain we have had all week the bunkers were immaculate.
Best public course I have played
Conditions were excellent, pace of play was real slow however. I think everyone was trying to get in on the nice weather.
Greens were very slick and rolled true. Fairways and sand areas were all very good.
Well worth it!
From the travel to the course. Most importantly your time! This course should be on your must play list. I played on a cool overcast day so it was not very busy. course was in great shape from groomed tee boxes to " wish my back yard looked like this" fairways, to the velvety true and fast greens.
The guest service was top notch and the amenities to match!
Will be back for sure
1st time played: WOW!!!
This course is one of kind; It is simply one of the most beautiful courses I have played. I spend the winter in Myrtle Beach and play a lot of great courses. This course is more enjoyable than any I have played due to it unique layout. The weather was slight rain so course was not busy. When you tee off on any hole you have no neighboring fairways; you are in your own little world. Each hole is beautiful. I will play this course again;.
Awesome facility
The course was in excellent condition. Greens were at tournament speed and very challenging. Fairways were lush. This course will test every club in your bag. Arthur Hills has a gem of a design. Put this course on you definite play list.
Very good, could be better
I really wanted to love Longaberger, and it's certainly in the top 10 of the 50+ courses I've played in Ohio, but it could have been so much better: 1. There's no excuse for not having water stations on the course -- unless you're trying to gouge the customer to pay $2.50 for a bottle of water from the beverage cart; 2. As previous customers have mentioned, the fairways and tees are pockmarked by divots - help me help you by putting bottles of seed/sand mix on the carts and tees; 3. Yard-arm maps on the tees, or a map of the course on the scorecard, to assist with the many blind shots; 4. Let me drive my clubs to the car. I promise I'll return the cart; 5. Don't try to gouge me (again) by asking to clean my clubs, ESPECIALLY after I say, "No thanks, they're clean."
Longaberger
The Longaberger hype machine was right on. What a beautiful course. Playable for all levels of golfer. Spacious rough areas for errant shots keeps pace of play good.....tough fast greens...Loved it!!!!!! Will play again for sure!!!
Gorgeous Course, and a real experience
I was blown away by the entire experience. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Facilities were the best I've ever seen, and the course conditions were immaculate. Only gripe was pace of play. My group wasn't exactly playing the fastest, but on the front their were several hold ups. I'll gladly return when I can find another hot deal
Slow play
Never play with only two people. We were put behind three VERY SLOW foursomes and it took almost 6hours to play which is ridiculous. We had to wait after every shot which make it impossible to get a rhythm going
Pristine Ohio's Best Public Golf Course
Majestic rural golf course located about an hour east of Cloumbus Ohio. Greens and cart paths need more TLC. It would be nice for a class course like this to have cart GPS. The clubhouse reminds me of the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island, MI. Be glad you are riding on a cart because the hills are steep. Be ready to hit several up and downhill lie shots. All the tee times were filled the day I played. This shows the desire to play Ohio's number one public golf course.
Longaberger Golf
Great price at $36.50 total for this course. Fun golf course with beautiful country scenery. Played on a Tuesday with only 2 other groups in site.
5 Well Deserved Stars
Living in Columbus, it's easy to say we're spoiled with all of the great public tracks around. But this one stands above all of them. Greens were aerated, yet still in better shape than most other tracks. $49 through GolfNow is a steal, as this one is easily worth full price. Hole #8 may be my favorite hole I've every played. Very enjoyable course.
A 5 star course close to home
I have played here many times using a local resident card. First time playing since the course was sold. The course remains in pristine shape, fairways, rough, bunkers , greens all immaculate. A few of the par 3 tee boxes are devoted up due to more play. This is the only negative I can state. Greens were aerated recently, but greens still rolled true, a little slower than I remembered.
This course is very pricey, wait for a hot deal from Golfnow, and go enjoy this gem
Aeration spoiled our round
The course was in very good condition other than the greens. We wish there was a way to know that there was aeration on the course. We may have booked at a later date. Because when booked threw Golfnow there is noway to know that greens were aerated . Even though the course was not that crowded; we had to wait on almost every hole. Ranger needed. This course is still one of the nicest public courses I've played.
Longaberger
We had a tee time of 1250 asked if we would wait ten minutes and team up with another group we said sure we would go use putting green.we got out to putting green and starter says hit a few and your up when ready. We went out and not a problem all day long nobody in front or behind us. It was so relaxing on the number 1 course in Ohio.we took our time cause it was 93 outside .we finish up and they clean your clubs and we drive up load and away we go. Staff was nicest around course was in awesome shape and price thru golf now was like we played for nothing $22 for here is unheard of. I would give 10 stars if i could
playing under pro conditions
great experience variety of different e boxes courses a very very nice recommended anybody thumbs up thumbs upthe only complaint I would have is that they would not let the golf carts in the parking lot download clubs
great course but very overpriced
First time playing this course and thought it was in great condition. Fairways were perfect and bunkers were very nice. Greens on the other hand had a ton of divots. I had a hot deal for $31, but normal price of $59 is crazy. I would only play this course again if I had a hot deal. This course is not worth $59. Its a tough course with mostly uneven lies. Greens are very hard and very fast, so it will take some getting used to. I would recommend playing this course at least once, but make sure you have a discount.
Wonderful golf course
Truly a great layout. The course was in great condition except the greens showed lots of repaired ball marks. The sand traps were the best of any I have seen all year.
