Saint Albans Golf Club in Ohio is a public course that provides a casual atmosphere and a relaxing round. It is popular for its affordable rates and excellent conditions. The layout is fair and not overly challenging. It was designed to be player-friendly course with no hidden hazards. The design does take advantage of the landscape's rolling countryside and numerous ponds though. There are five water hazards that come into play on nine holes. Slight undulations make the greens and fairways interesting and there are also many strategically positioned trees coming into play throughout. The golf course's signature hole is the par-4 10th. It is one of the trickier holes, requiring a shot to a large green that is protected by a meandering creek and a tall cottonwood tree.

Lot of fun to play

The course was in great condition for this time of year. There were some wet spots, but it had rained in the last couple of days.
the staff had done a great job of removing leaves, therefore no lost balls. I'll play here again.

Great, Fun Course

Played on 11/1/13 and the greens were great. I've played courses where the greens weren't this good during the summer. I love playing this course. The 10th hole is one of the prettiest around.

Weather was less than good; course was in great shape.

My game was less than stellar on the day in question. I made the course more difficult than it was designed to be, Had a good experience, though.

We'll be back!

This is a gem of a course, not far off the beaten path. Amazing, but we found a group ahead of us that plays slower than we do, accounting for the slow pace yesterday. (Didn't think that was possible.)

Course is exceptionally well-kept, and has enough elevation changes and water to challenge most people.

We WILL play it again... :-)

Beautiful Course

The course was very well maintained and very challenging; especially the pin placements on the greens. As a first year golfer, making putts in two was very difficult. I will definitely play the course again as my skill level improves. I would definitely recommend this course.

A very nice "Mom and Pop" operation

This is a very nice course, independently owned and operated.  The greens are in excellent shape, with a few tee boxes that are rough.  Measures 6,100 yards from the white tees, but, seems to play a little shorter than that.   If you want to play a nice layout, with several elevation changes, this is the place to go.
